TRAFFIC FROM FACEBOOK FAN PAGE TO YOUR BLOG

In our previous post , we talked about how to monetize your fan page and today let see how we can drive traffic to our fan page. Traffic in anyway can't be overemphasized, traffic is why i'm writing this post now, without traffic; no money, it doesn't matter how your offer looks appealing.

Many ways you can use your Fan Pages to get people to visit your blog.  One of the ways is by using Application "Social RSS" you can have your blog posts appear on your Fan Page.  It will just be an excerpt of the post and below the excerpt is a link that says 'Read More Stories' and another that says 'Subscribe to stories from this page.'  So, not only do they have to click and go to your blog to read the rest of the blog post, they have two other chances to visit your blog or subscribe to your blog "stories."

Offer a giveaway (free) report or eBook if they go to your site and fill out a poll you are taking.  Make sure it is something worthwhile and on topic for the niche you are promoting.

Write updates on your Fan Page that mention free things you are giving away on your blog, or a contest you are having.  Give them the link to get to the correct page or post on your blog.

Mention that if they go to your blog and buy a product you are selling on both your Fan Page and your blog, that there is a special discount, or coupon, they can avail themselves of if the click over to your blog and order from there instead of the Fan Page. 

Drive Traffic With Application

Since the reign of facebook there are hundred of Applications available for Facebook Fan Pages.  Some of the ones you may want to have (they all have good instructions and descriptions) include:

1. Social RSS - This app lets you add your RSS feed to a boxes tab, a dedicated tab, or your Fan Page wall and automatically updates.
2. NetworkedBlogs - Network your blog with Facebook's huge blogger community.
3. Sweepstakes - Within minutes you can generate and launch a branded sweepstake.  Your Fans enter the sweepstakes and the application picks a winner at random.
4. Fan Appz - Great suite of marketing apps for social media to help Facebook Fan Pages connect with, monetize, and grow their number of Fans.  Uses Top 5 Lists, Promotions, Quizzes, Polls, and virtual gifts, among other things.
5. Promotions - This application lets you offer special promotions to your fans.
6. Social Tweet - This application lets you tweet directly from Facebook.
7. Show & Sell - Set up a visual mini-store.
8. Discussion Boards - start a discussion and see where it takes you.  This can be used like a forum for your fans.
9. Photos - This application is great for putting images or photo albums on your fan page and giving it more visual appeal.
10. Notes - This is a great application that lets you write notes back and forth with your fans.
11. Videos - Videos are very important now.  This app lets you put videos on your fan page.
12. Events - schedule special events for your fans to attend.
13. Surveys - take surveys to learn more about your fans.
14. Mobile - lets you view the content your fans upload with Facebook Mobile, gives you a phone book view of your fans, and lets you subscribe to their mobile content.
15. Coupon - special offers and coupons for your fans.
16. My Fan Site lets you use custom html and css to design a landing page for your fans. 

You don’t need to use all the above applications, go through the list and read the descriptions and then pick the ones most applicable to your niche and your "fans."

Wait!! am not done yet!!!! If I don’t do this; then, I’m not doing you any good. It may be a bit sucking or against the topic of this article. I didn't plan this but this topic is very important as long as internet marketing is concern. Infact; is why 99% of internet marketers fail on Facebook.

So how do you post on facebook and be sure of people seeing it, interact and even click on the link.

Look at it this way: Rank= Affinity * Weight * Decay

• Affinity show s how often people interact with the post you make and not how many times you post on facebook. In other word; if people always interact with your post by liking, commenting and sharing, then next time you post, facebook would always show it to your fans because your high Affinity score.
• Weight shows the value of anything you post to your fans; it can be pictures, links, text-only post and images. Anything you post has different weightings.
• The last one is Decay: New posts you make are given priority over the older post (unless the older post continues to attract interactions).

Solutions To Getting A Better EdgeRank (Score):

1. Make posts that drive interaction, this would help boost your Affinity score.
2. Make post that contain videos, images and text but not links to boost you Weight score. But wait! How can you post without a link? How will you make money or get people to perform a certain action on the other site? Calm down! I will reveal to you how in my upcoming report.
3. Make post regularly; at least 3-4 times daily with couple of hours in between to boost your time Decay score.
